and 7 years later.

Wow! 

Long time, no post. I never thought I’d stumble across these old blog entries again. *dusts off screen* 

Crazy to think 7 years ago, at 23 years old, I thought I was adulting. Granted, at the time, I was juggling 2 jobs, a social life, and trying to spend time with my family.

Who would have thought 7 years later I’d be married to the most wonderful man, have an almost 14 month old daughter, and live in Florida? If you told me 7 years ago that this would be my life, I would have not believed you. 

(Alhamduallah) I’m truly grateful. I spend my days with my daughter while my husband is at work. We spend our evenings together as a family, whether it’s with his family or just us. Our daughter is the first granddaughter for both sides so she’s extremely spoiled, but as she should be! From time to time, we’ll leave her with my in laws while my husband and I have a date night and she gets to spend time with her grandparents. 

It’s mind boggling how much can change in so little time. Just 3 years after I created the last post, I got married. A year after that; pregnant. And now, just trying to get through the days and survive with a toddler. Kidding, but also send help. 

Looking back at all my posts, it’s exciting and scary to see what the next 7 or so years will bring! (Inshallah)

Hello and goodbye, 2017!

According to my recent posts archive, I have blogged the most in 2011 (not surprised tbh lol) I was still in high school, didn't work a lot, had no responsibilities, etc. Had more time on my hands. Now I have two jobs, try to make time for friends and family, deal with bills, and basically try to adult. Gross.

but anywyas, that's why I'm never on here, because I have no free time.

((it's always that excuse lol))

It's 2017 and I haven't blogged in over a year. Not much has changed really, other than me moving to Oxford! Even after the move, not much has changed. I mean, I work and live here now, but I'm in Tupelo often to see friends and family and its not like its a long drive. I've done so many things since I last blogged in May 2016:

I've been to the beach MULTIPLE times...
but I've been to Six Flags way more!
(lol we even bought season passes so we can go for free any time in 2018)
Got to experience Geyser Falls and Alabama Splash.
Chopped off all of my hair!
(also got it chopped off recently)
I've been to a few concerts: TOP, P!ATD, and Kesha
Went to Nola for Chloee's 21st birthday!
(which is also coincidentally today HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWG ILY)

Hopefully 2018 will be just as fun and filled with wonderful memories :-)

I just want to say I'm not the greatest person when it comes to blogging. Its almost been a year since I've last posted anything. Yikes. I might try again this summer.

July Journaling Challenge: Day 8

Journal challenge day 8 is Best Friend. 

Basically, this sums up my relationship with my best friend. You know who you are, miss Katelyn Mathis!! The lucky winner... lol jk. Sorry I took forever to post this but you know how lazy I can get. Now, some of you (or whoever reads my blog) are probably wondering, "why is she her bff¿" WELL HERES WHY: 

• We have known each other since freshman year of high school and were really close! I was her very first public school friend and she was my first high school friend (other than my cousin, she who shall not be named) and we just clicked! We lost in touch Sophomore and made different friends Junior year, but we were still there for each other and we've been friends for 6 years!! (It will be 6 years in August I think lol)

• We both know we're each other's best friend. We both have other friends we hang out with and post pictures with, but her and I have a mutual understanding; like we both have a special place for each other that no one else can replace. 

• We literally won't see each other for a whole month, yet when we do get together, it's not awkward and we're able to just pick up from where we left off (or probably bc we text every single day)

• WE TEXT EVERY SINGLE DAY. About NOTHING. And I love it. We will have the most random conversations!!  But literally, we have texted each other everyday for maybe 2 years?? I'm not exaggerating. 

There are a lot of other reasons why she's my bff but this post is getting too long and I'll have to post journal day 9 and 10 tomorrow!!  

Beauty Question Tag: Skin Care

How many times do you wash your face daily? Twice a day; in the morning when I wake up and at night before I sleep.   

What type of skin do you have? (dry, oily, combo)? OILY. It can be -45 degrees outside and my face will still be oily.  

What is your current facial wash? Clean & Clear Acne Control, but I haven't used it in a month because I want to see how my skin will react to no products.

Do you exfoliate? What  

What brand do you use? For my face, I LOVE Clean & Clear.  

Do you have freckles? No, but I wish I did ;-(

Do you use eye cream? nOpE  

Did you or do you have acne prone skin? SADLY YES. My face is a lot better than it used to be, though. I now have a few acne scars on my cheeks and the occasional breakout.  

Did you ever have to use Proactive? Yes and it's terrible; my skin is way too sensitive for it! Clean & Clear all the wayyyy.
